Caleb has never been one to sit and want to draw or colour in, it is just not in his nature. He is more of an on the go, chasing a soccer ball kind of kid. When we had all the wet weather in the holidays I bought some felt pens and paper to encourage some drawing or writing or just playing noughts and crosses.
So on a Sunday morning at the beach when I am trying to keep the kids reasonably quiet I suggested to Caleb that he go and do some drawing with them.

Half an hour later he re appeared with this masterpiece.
I just love it.
He also was quite chuffed as he told me all about the giraffes, the boys have black spots and the girls have brown spots. The baby giraffe is brown and the big brother is yellow with some black spots. There is a nest in the tree, the seeds in the ground have roots growing down and will grow into new trees.
His smile and excited delight, warmed my heart, when he discovered that I had framed it and put it on the wall in the family room.
