A weekend escape

A weekend at Golden Beach at Caloundra and it was fantastic to get away and have some fun together. The pool was an instant hit when the boys saw it and was even better when they discovered the waterslide!

We went out for a drive and discovered some great play spaces this one at Kings Beach met with some challenges for both of the boys. Caleb tried so hard to get across the monkey bars on his own and although we didn't quite achieve it on the day he was certainly attempting it with a lot more ease.

Jordan's challenge was what he called the spooky house (???) not sure why really other than the entrance was shaped like a house. I know the spooky part for him was crossing over the roped bridge to start with he needed a lot of encouragement but was very happy when he made it over on his own later on.

We even attempted some fishing. The fish weren't so keen and tended to stay away from us as did the kayaker's who almost copped a sinker in the head every now and then (oooppps)

It was a great time and I had a chance to catch up with and old friend who I hadn't seen for 10 years so all in all an awesome weekend.
