Girls weekend away

I have been looking forward to this weekend for about 3 months now. With 2 different groups of girlfriends. At the beginning of year we started discussions of a "Girls weekend" leaving the kids and husbands at home and getting away from it all.

Originally the way I had it in mind was I was going to have a few of these with different groups of girlfriends during this year. As it turned out I got it all in one hit with a weekend at Peregian and then a 2 night P&O Cruise from Brisbane to Sydney straight after.

So on Friday Night I headed away to Peregian just south of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. Magic. This is the view that greeted us as we strolled along the beach to head for brunch on Saturday morning. We had a very relaxing day then off to Noosa Beach for Happy Hour before heading back to then walk down to dinner at an awesome little restaurant called Pitchfork. A leisurely evening of good wine with good friends. What a wonderful start.

Then back home to Brisbane for a quick hello and cuddle with the boys before we were dropped off at the ship for my next adventure. I had never been on a cruise before and felt I was doing this in my Nana's honour. She always promised me as a child that she would take me on a cruise. Now Nana was 73 when I was born so by the time I was old enough to go on a cruise she was beyond able to go on them so we never really got the opportunity. So this was for Nana.

We had a wonderful time and there was so much to do with very little time to do it in. It was a grand adventure and a wonderful time away to not worry about anyone else and to relax and enjoy.
