As Christmas is approaching so quickly I have finally got back to posting on here. First week of holidays is already gone so I know the next 5 are going to disappear as well. As well as getting into the Christmas spirit at home with music, movies, art and decorating we have been out and about soaking up the festivities wherever we can find them.
A trip to the city last week was one I hadn't done with the boys before, or since I finished work to have Mr C so an eye opener for all of us. It started with the train ride in to the city counting down the stations, visiting the Tree in King George Square, The Myer window display of the Nutcracker, riding the glass elevator up and down and down and up and up and down again in the myer centre. We rode on toy trains, listened to choirs sing Christmas Carols, made sand pictures and this was all in one morning.
At home things have started to get more Christmasy too. We have had many of these decorations for a number of years but this year the kids have been very excited over them. Caleb races out each morning to change the countdown over and then climbs up on the chair to get to the advent calendar to see what treasure we get for the day.
The Train around the tree is a constant entertainer and the boys are regularly going in and turning it on to watch it go round and round.
The bear and Christmas Tree are a favourite particularly with Mr J as he just loves to groove to the music particularly "Rockin around the Christmas Tree" He also enjoys playing statues with them, this usually ends with fits of laughter too.
And as we head into the last week before Christmas the Table has begun to be set for the big day. We are looking forward to having a very relaxing day at home with the kids enjoying all the loot and the love, joy, peace and hope that comes with celebrating Christ's Birth.
