It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I didn't feel very organised this year and I am still not sure that I am. But I have been very inspired by a few different blogs and some of my own ideas to get the spirit up and happening in our house this year.

So we started with the tree and the boys are so capable of doing all the lower things themselves this year which certainly made it a lot easier all round. (I may have adjusted it a little afterwards but still simpler than doing it all myself)

We waited for Peter to be home to hang each of our stockings.

We started this tradition the first year Peter and I were together as I worked on his stocking and got it finished about a month or so from Christmas he then informed me that his wasn't going up unless mine was finished to go up beside it. After a lot of work I got mine done with about 10 min to spare on Christmas Eve.

We began this tradition with opening one gift which was in our stocking on Christmas Eve and then what was under the tree was for Christmas Day.

Caleb's first Christmas he had his stocking and then Jordan's was completed after he arrived too. We now use the stockings as Santa's delivery point. It keeps the gift from Santa small as it has to fit in the stocking. Santa can't bring big things as he has to bring something for everyone! And then all the loot under the tree Mum and Dad get the credit for not Santa. I love the excitement and fantasy of Santa, Peter on the other hand is not so accepting of it all so this is where we ended up.

The boys love their stockings and are very excited about it all. Must go and add the other decorations to the house now. Will post more later.
