Right I'm Back

This year so far has been a bit of a whirlwind. I thought I was going to have so much more time with both of the boys at school. Nope even less to get everything done in. It could also be because I have decided to do so much more this year. Never mind. . .

I am going to put a conscious effort into blogging from now on I really find it a great tool for looking back on all we have achieved. So here we go


We are in the midst of finishing off the Games room/Boys room in our house. This room has sat with a borrowed pool table for the 9 years we have lived here and slowly it has gained bits and pieces of sporting memorabillia and other bits and pieces. However it has also turned into a bit of a junk storage area with baby toys and all sorts of what not building up around things. So we started looking like this . . .


Now this is the cleaned out look that it was prior to being completly emptied to start on the tiling etc. When we built the house we had planned for a wet bar to go into the corner in this room so all the plumbing had been run through to there when we built. We also built with the intention to finish our house one day. So we still have rooms with concrete as the flooring or carpet offcuts down on it.

There were also the many hats of my DH hanging all under the shelving at the top of the room plus tons of other junk. So this is actually the tidy pre photo

So this is the tiling being started and the cupboards that have been put in so far. The benchtop is to arrive on Monday and the Electrician is due to change light fittings etc too. Then hopefully it will be wrapped up on Tuesday with the sink being finished, the timber going on the open hole in the wall, the splashback tiling being done and touching up the painting again.

I can't wait for this room to be finished as it is going to create a bit of a chain reaction in organising and sorting of all the other rooms that have had everything now dumped in them to clear this room out.

So that is it for today I think. Many other things are on the go in our house as well as organising there are birthday parties being planned, rooms being re arranged, I have started a new job
